And though very, very rare, he is right about car dealerships. People will still need service and will take the convenience of on-site competitive financing. Car sales people may be completely fucked and dealers may have less inventory on the lot. The problems pointed out in the buying process are real. And a lot of people (like me) hate the entire process. So I think they'll change but I think on some level they will be around~though perhaps much, much smaller imprints.

Any half-wit can grind down a car salesman, it hardly requires negotiating skill or intellect to take every last nickel off the table since there is complete transparency on their cost. Some of us recognize that car salesmen also have families to feed and we knowingly and voluntarily allow the poor schmuck to earn a commission.

Actually, I talked the owner of the dealership to talk the Audi regional manager to apply a significant incentive promotion only available on purchases to my lease deal. The 30 year Audi F&I manager on the forum said he never heard of anyone successfully pulling that off. My total discount was $27K off of $105K msrp which the F&I manager said he never saw.
I just also negotiated a rate reduction today on a life insurance policy for my wife
Yesterday I negotiated 2 years more on my Comcast internet bill saving $360/yr
Also, negotiated and additional $15/mo on my garbage services bill
Then I got Home Depot to sell me a Milwaukee drill that was already on sale for $109 for $59. Bet you didnt know that every HD employee has unquestion discretion to give any customer $50 off any transaction.
Saved $1200 on wood flooring that was already on clearnace price
Saved $1700 on $6900 of reupholstered furniture after the company quoted their BEST PRICE of $6900
Negotiatied an additional $1100 on a $5000 Beutyrest bed when the national price protected price was $4600

I finally got it. You are one of those fucktards that loves to grind on innocent customer service people spending hours and hours climbing the chain of management to save 5 bucks while not realizing that the hours you spent gaining five bucks you could've just gone out and earned another few grand if you were a decent sales person.
