I'm go8ng to say transmission only because mine went out on my F150, now I'm driving around my wife's car.

Better get that fixed, wives get mad when you take their car.

Kind of surprising there are Bigfoot cars that drive around in the forest over logs and shit.

Oh she is pissed that I drive her car. Probably cause I bought her a brand new one, and I try to drive her to work. She goes walk you big dumb ape.

As a Sasquatch, is there any problem getting financing for a car loan?

Not really since I'm a bigfoot the dealership is usually mesmerized that a mythical creature is in their building they just approve on spot.

Issues: Steering wheel shakes with each rotation of the tires, [least expensive cause could be a tire out of balance] and if I let go of the steering wheel, it pulls to the right.[alignment] While I drive, the car also makes a bit of a squealing noise, [You need to define this more. What are the circumstances when it happens? While you're driving at a steady pace? Certain speed? Accelerating?. it could be a wheel bearing going out. It could be a loose belt. It could be a near-dead brake pad.]and today I just noticed a helicopter noise coming from the right side of my car. Almost sounds like it's coming from the back tire, but I can't be too sure. [your tire wear could be uneven--especially if your balance is off or alignment is off]

Any ideas of what it could be? I'm going to bring it to the mechanic later this week, but wanna know if it's potentially something serious so I can bring it in today if I have to.

Those were areas I'd start from. For a start I'd inspect the tires for signs of uneven wear.

Dont know what model of jeep.

But that era of wrangler will get the "death wobble" for sure. edit a little googling shows cherokees get it as well. There is some front end component/s that need to be replaced to fix it. Usually can get it done fairly reasonably.

here is a link about the death wobble. http://www.jeepz.com/forum/suspension/29510-wrangler-death-wobble-what-causes-how-fix.html

The squealing noise is belts that need to be replaced. Once they start squealing it's over. Replace em, Zip tie the old fan belt to your frame rail under the hood in case you drop it when you are out in the boonies! (If you go to the boonies that is)

Helicopter noise could be tread that is falling off the tire and is slapping the ground at speed. I would check your tires first and then go from there.

Need to see a mechanic. Alignment, wheel bearing, differential gear box issue, u-joint, steering linkage, tire rod, brakes, belts, struts, CV joint/boot/axle (if its frontwheel drive) ect... the might be list is long. If the engine and drive train are still solid it's worth fixing IMO.

I just took my 07 Charger R/T to my mechanic to change out the upper control arms to SPC adjustable arms, front and rear Eibach sway bars, BWoody sway bar end links, new adjustable Eibach suspension all around and EBC BSD rotors and Red Stuff brake pads. My car really needed it. Shit was starting to get sketchy as **** at highway speed.

I also have a couple of new high flow Flowmaster catalytic converters to put in but I am still waiting to buy the 4 oxygen sensors to swap those bitches out while I am at it and probably just going to say **** it and drop in a full cat back Flowmaster exhaust while I am fucking with the exhaust.

Results are in.

1. My brakes are shot. Which was a little surprising since they seemed to be working well.

2. Outer tie rod on one side is shot.

3. Bad Axle

4. My tires are completely worn out.

That will hurt a bit wallet wise... tires alone have gone up.
Glad you got it figured out.

nice work i-diagnosing. I would say pretty much the same thing and add a warped rotor to the list as a potential culprit.

The vibration could be a warped rotor but in my experience the "vibration" on a warped rotor goes away once it pushes the pads away from it, and starts up again during braking and shortly after you release them.

Granted, I've never owned a jeep, so I don't know the quirks of that vehicle. :p

I'm not really a car guy per se but my dad owns a car dealership and I used to work there part time during high school. From the sounds of it, you have a bad tie rod which will put unnecessary wear and tear on your tires which is probably what the sound is and your alignment is out. Hard to say how bad it can be but it's going to cost you around $100 per tie rod and then labor as well. Take this with a grain of salt lol

Hey look at that. Not bad
