John Kinnas, owner of Atmosphere Casting, is looking for “a huge turnout of 1,500 or more extras.”



That’s should be enough good people to fill the United Center seats for a Blackhawks game, which will be a scene in the Vince Vaughn/Ron Howard movie that starts filming here May 25. The casting call, open to everyone 16 years and older, and will take place May 22 at the Chicago Academy of the Arts, 1010 W. Chicago, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.



Says Kinnas, “If you’ve got Blackhawks apparel, like jerseys, caps, T-shirts, wear it and we’ll photograph you in your gear.” For more details, see:

If I were casting, I'd ask the Hawks to email their season ticket holders and convention attendees and ask them to sign up and fill the seats. Odds are they have Hawk gear and would be happy to do it.

Casting Local Chicago Talent as Extras For Upcoming Comedy



Directed by Ron Howard and starring Vince Vaughn and Kevin James



Chicago based extras casting director Jon Kinnas is holding an open casting call to meet and greet those interested in working on the new Universal Pictures comedy from director Ron Howard that stars Vince Vaughn and Kevin James.



We want REAL Blackhawks fans for a scene we are doing at the United Center. This could be a fans dream come true, the United Center all to yourself, well you and around 750 other people anyway. We would like the real fans to come to our casting call.



Wear your Chicago Blackhawks gear (official NHL licensed jerseys, T-shirts, hats, sweaters, foam fingers, etc.) to the casting call and we will take your picture in your fan attire.



There is NO COST to you to be an EXTRA. WE PAY YOU. There is NO COST to come to the open call. Just show up in your 'hawks gear and have a pen with you. We will take all of your information and get you booked to work on the scene. Shooting of the scenes are currently scheduled for the end of July.



The casting call on Saturday is mainly for the Blackhawks game scene. Everyone that shows up in some Blackhawks gear will be photographed and the WILL definitely be booked for the United Center scene. We did it in similar fashion for "The Break Up" and the Cubs game scene.



Anyone that attends the open call (Blackhawks fan or not) will have a chance to work on the movie, we will be using alot of extras. People who get to work the Blackhawks game may even be able to work on additional scenes in the movie.

Precisely. Bandwagon Vince is so right. I hate that the guy keeps capitalizing on the Hawks' good play -- and that CSN and everybody else carrying Hawks' games lets him get away with it by showing his ugly mug at every freaking game he attends.

I think the wife and I will go to this. We are Blackhawk fans and the casting call is right in our neck of the woods so there is no reason why we wouldn't go. Also, bandwagon fan or not, I'm a fan of Vaughn's work. Wedding Crashers was awesome and Swingers is just about one of the funniest movies of all time.

If you do go, lemme know what time. I would have to drive in from Round Lake, so I would have to plan accordingly.

Lynn and I are going to try to get there right around the start time of 11am. We might even get there a little earlier because we expect a big turnout. We also have plans to get together with friends for lunch around 2pm and don't want to run the risk of being late if the casting call runs over.

yeah thats about 19k of them, whom will see if they are going to hang around when Hawks go the the slump years. Then you'll see them back around wrigleyville, bunch of blond, bear burpin, northwestern, Loyola, frat pieaces of shit.
