By the looks of the last governor election it appears everyone in Chicago loves Quinn.

Probably even a number of dead voters....

Just because Bill Brady was anti-*** and didn't seem to know the difference between a doorknob and his brain DOESN'T mean I like Quinn. Frankly, I think Quinn is probably the best idiot the state has had in its dubious history when it comes to the state government...

Only reason why I voted Quinn was because I really had no other choice. I just didn't want to have to be forced to move to Canada if Brady were to set anti-*** standards in place.

For other voters, I am very certain that they voted Quinn likely because they had "no other choice".

It's true... I didn't vote for either party.

In fact, Wolf - I voted "Green" partly because Whitney was the ONLY candidate who had an open stance on *** Marriage/Rights.

Jako & Ymono forever

For real though, republicans won't be on my list unless they start to rationalize with such topics. Also, they might want to look at hispanics for election purpose.

This wouldn't just be devastating to the Peoria area, the Aurora plant is HUGE. I've heard from people I know there that they've started bringing back a lot of the positions they laid off over the last few years (though not mine.. grumblegrumble). Whoever said they'd be moving to Mexico isn't quite right... India already got a lot of Cat's business for certain engine designs. They'd probably move more there. (though I know you were probably half joking)

There were? I wanted a winning candidate... Voting for any of those would have been considered a "Brady vote". Last thing I needed at the time was to support that idea.

Well your vote got you paying more taxes. A bill that was passed in the middle of the night before the new legistlation took their place. Good job!

Gotta disagree. A vote for another candidate is a vote for that candidate, not Brady. If people vote for the guy that is gonna win then we will get a government that tramples over our rights and destroys the nation.

Oh wait.....

The more we let them tax the more control they have over us and the less we have to say about our own money. For those that voted for Quinn knowing that he was campainging on raises taxes and going to lower spending and the deficit..... I have one thing to say, pffft. Although he did follow through on the raising taxes portion.

Not only did he follow through but he lied while doing so. I could have sworn he campaigned on raising them a certain percentage but then pushed through something TWICE the amount.

Fucking piece of shit. No surprise though.

Hey you and I finally agree on something. **** you!

For every 1,000.00 dollars in taxes that you paid before Quinn add about 650.00 dollars to that with the tax increase.

HOW THE **** ARE YOU LIKING THAT ???

Thats for real, Sheesh!!

You are both right, and both victims of this stupid 2 party system.

Jako's right on principle, Wolf is right in practice.

Too many people have the mentality a vote for a 3rd party is a wasted vote, so they vote for the "lesser evil". There is just no convincing the people en-masse enough to actually get a 3rd party in any "major" political office.

You start slapping term limits on the senate and house, you will start seeing more new blood in those positions, in 3rd parties and people will really start seeing them as viable contenders for governor/president.

he asked how you are liking paying more taxes, essentially, but you are in college and a tax increase probably means about as much to you as it did to me when I was in college jack friggin shit, and i dont blame you, worry about that shit when you have to not when you dont.

You use your mouth purdier then a $20 dollar whore.

That's essentially what I am saying. People need to bust out of the 2 party mentality. However, no one seems to be able too, so term limits would be a great start.
