It's simple, if you eat sausage from the grocery store, you do not have a soft spot for critters. You are actually supporting an industry that is very cruel to cute, super smart piglets. So enjoy your feline friend and take pride in saving it from an early death, but spare the internet your self righteousness about loving animals more than those that have personally dispatched them.

Yeah, no shit. I assume when people hunt they don't just throw the animal in a dumpster. Guess I never met anyone that does this, so my experience is limited.

Ummm, I think a lot of people hunt animals for 'sport', or for kicks, so to speak. If you think that they don't, then I would say you are a bit naive in those regards.

Like I said, my experience is limited to those that eat what they hunt. I guess they all hunt for sport because they have money and access to bearsbud's grocery store of animal cruelty, and don't limit themselves to food they kill themselves, but no, I don't know anyone who goes out and shoots animals purely for shots and gigs, but would not deny they exist.

Bearsbud, did the folks you hunted pheasant with eat the birds, or toss them in the garbage?

I disagree. That's like saying people who like tomatoes are assholes simply because you don't like tomatoes. In a word, immature.

I think people who coop dogs up in condos should be exterminated. So with that in mind, I am going to try to bulk up our cat to 40 pounds. My brother gave his cat carbo-fuel in college while he was trying to bulk up and it ended up looking like Ndamokung Suh. Its name was "Heineken" and it died of feline diabetes.

When we lived in Humboldt Park, our cat would kill several mice a day and arrange their decapitated heads on our coffee table as a sort of progress report for when we got home. Cats are pretty smart.

i hate cats. no offense. its probably due to their smartness and sneaky ways that creeps me out. there cool to observe though.

Problem is, your logic doesnt make sense... Having a soft spot for sick wild animals has nothing to do with eating animals raised for food...They have no connection to one another...One is done out of compassion, the other is done for sustenance...This isnt a black or white issue..It isnt either/or. I understand your need to try and nitpick at someone that has been on your ass the last few days, but try and take on a subject where you have solid ground to stand on instead of grasping at straws to try and "get even".
