Mitch wasn't a bad qb. He just wasn't a good qb.

In hindsight I would have preferred to keep him on a 1 year deal rather then let him leave. I'd rather have him over dalton RN. Shit, maybe we could have traded him at the deadline too.

I understand getting rid of him because the fanbase was done with him. At that point there isn't much you can do to redeem yourself.

That's not the point.

The point is, regardless of how well he played, or how well the defense played, he was 29-21 as a starter. That is a fact, and it can not be disputed.

Great. Barely above .500. Like that proves something. He was carried in 2018. He's not good. That is a fact and can not be disputed.

It's a better winning percentage than the following:
Phillip Rivers
Eli Manning
Matt Ryan
Joe Flacco
Warren Moon
Dave Krieg
Drew Bledsoe
Dan Fouts
Mark Brunell
Boomer Esiason
Cam Newton
Len Dawson
Rich Gannon

Let's add in Trubisky's rookie year may have been the worst group of receivers ever assembled on an NFL roster, the two leading receivers were Kendall Wright then Josh Bellamy. We all forget about that when analyzing Trubisky's rookie season.

Another great point by you..............wait what's your point? You must really love Trubitchsky.

Some of those guys are going or are already in the HOF. Are you arguing that Trubitchsky is just as good? Most if not all of those guys on the list at least showed promise and NFL caliber talent. Trubisky never showed anything that made you think he's an NFL caliber starter.

You said his W/L% wasn't impressive, hence, I provided a list of people who Trubisky has a better W/L%

here is the thing in 2018 Mitch had 6 games over a 100QBR one of those games where he put up over 300 yards and 3TD was a loss. But the remaining games that we won his total stats for the games where..

103 of 142 for 1410 yards 72.5% 9.9 ypa 14TD 0INT and 136.7 QBR why would we give the credit to the D for those games? I mean its a team win so of course the D should get credit. but we are not talking about wining in spite of bad QB play, at lest for those games.. the rest of the wins yes they won in spit of him.. but those games when he played good he should get the credit for playing good..

Bottom line is he was a marginal QB that had some good games and a bunch of bad games. The only thing we can really do is use him for comparison to other QBs for the Bears. because if Mitch wasn't good enough then who ever replaces him needs to be MUCH better and so far unfortunately no other Bears QB has even risen to the "marginal" standard that Mitch has set.. Kind of depressing that no other QB can surpass that low bar..
Were there any games that STs lost it for them ? Ex: And forgive me for this example.......the "Double Doink" (sp) game.

There’s nothing to debate. His record as starting QB is his record. That’s not debatable.
Bill Parcells said it by best....... Paraphrasing.......'."Your team is what your wins & losses say you are".....

There are 2 games that stand out to me with Mitch ( yes I'm one of them..a Mitch fan ) 6 TDs vs Bucs and the opening 4 TD drives vs the teddy bears in the preseason. Now I know the human condition, there will be people wanting to minimize it. So be it. But how many 6 TD games have there been in the history of the. NFL? There has to be some kind of talent in a player that can accomplish that feat. Wouldn't you think? Only 36 players have accomplished it. 49 Times.
