I jump passed on purpose, I planned it in my head. The kid I passed it to was in his automatic spot so I had the defenders collapse on me, then I dished it.

Also, "dime" hasn't been cool slang since like 1995.

I find that most people that enjoy passing more than shooting have issue with confidence in their jump shot. You're not being selfish by taking an open 8-10 footer in the lane. There is such a thing as passing out of a good shot/over passing and it costs games.
