Yes they do -it isn't really worth the money though. I played one season -it was like $1000 to join a club, then they expected you to fork out $15 per game -of which there were 22 -at the game (for ice time).... and since all the money was in leagues the few ice rinks around don't have drop in times -as it cuts in to the money they can make.

That's one of me in 2007 on my team here -- but man those International sized rinks -they can be pretty unforgiving for older guys like me. (I lost my legs a long time ago --- but I still had my slapshot.... )

You're from australia?? one of my friends plays in the blue jays organization and lives over there- my roommate and i are going to stay with his family in sydney in the fall Where in australia do you live?

Down south, hockey is a pretty pricey sport. Probably why its not so popular around these parts.

I thought that to at one time - but all it is - is a league where they know they have the market cornered. I think I'll start a blog on it soon -or just a general hockey blog. But nah - don't ever equate price with quality- you'll get burned eventually.

I used to live in Sydney or technically outside of Sydney - the best advice I can give you is don't tip at the restaurants -it isn't expected here -as it is all part of the wait staff's wage. I have to travel around a lot so I am never in one spot, but have been up and down the east coast at one time or another.
