That's cool. My parents house was like that as I kid. I remember my dad making me go out to get fire wood in the middle of winter. Fucking horrible. Now I just flip a switch.

I have never experienced a wood burning stove. Really, didn't even know they were still a thing.
I have an electric stove now, not by choice, it's what the house I bought had and it's only a year old so I don't want to replace it until it dies. I grew up with gas and had gas until this house... it was a learning curve, but can say I definitely prefer gas stoves over electric.

Growing up, we had a real fire place. It was cool as a kid cuz I could build fires, but I had to cut and supply the wood. I also tracked that shit all over the house so I'm sure my parents hated it lol. Judging by what my gas bill is now when my wife decides to turn the fire place on and insists our house is 80 god damn degrees at all times, I think I'd prefer a real fire place so she didn't have access to just flip a switch and turn it on lol.

Bwahahahahaha....we got about 10 inches and no one plowed at 4 am....it sucked. They even shut down schools. It called for 2 to 4 inches and it is still lake affecting right now
