Cell phone dropped in water

So I dropped my phone in water.... Sober somehow....

My iphone is hanging out in a bag of rice right now. Ive read/seen YouTube videos of people using this to successfully revive their phones.

Anyone tried this with success? ray:

My mom did it once it wasn't a smartphone or a touch screen but it worked. But when it comes to touch screen smartphones idk theres a lot more goin on with it then my moms phone but it probably will work. There will probably be like a little delay or some noticable changes in battery and speeds but thats probably it.

And after putting it in a ziplock bag of rice overnight (battery removed, but also in the bag of rice), it worked. I think it depends on the extend of the exposure to water.

I wish i could say i went after it right away but i didn't realize it immediately. I hope it comes back to life... I love my iPhone..... Mostly because of twitter and i listen to the Cubs on it.

I left it out to dry for a while and when i came back the apple logo was on the screen then it went off.

My battery was low so im hoping it just died and didn't get fried. ray: ray: ray:

My daughter spilled milk on my girlfriend's phone yesterday and the touch screen stopped working.

We put it in a bowl of rice for an hour and it worked perfectly afterwards.

Kind of ironic that this is being brought up here, haha

like 10 years ago i wanted a fucking new phone because i hated my fucking phone. i put it in a glass of water for 15 min shit was fucked. Funny thing about that though was i didnt get my numbers off it before i did this and it didnt have a sim card. so i fucking opened that ***** up and saw a few contacts and shit were all rusted and corroded. i brushed that shit off real good with an old toothbrush and put it back together hoping id be able to get my numbers. shit worked just enough that i was able to copy my numbers down.
