You can think and believe whatever you want to believe but making my logic similar to a kid wearing dreds is silly. You and others choose to ignore the FACTS that White wasb't recruited out of high school and that he had one very successful college season. That is your perogative. YOu are just making up reasons why he wasn't recruited into a high profile successful football program. You
re even bringing up shit like "maturation" and growth in an "environment" into the equation. Funny stuff. What's next, Dr. Joyce Brothers giving us a psych profile? And you want to accuse me of "grasping at straws"? Hilarious stuff you're coming up with.

Like I said before, many times, I hope the guy has a wonderful career. This isn't personal. I find it funny actually how people like yourself get so uptight about my questioning a Bear's draft pick to the point of bringing obscure stuff like you just did and a loser like the OSU wonk selectively picking out part of White's performance stats and intentionally omitting others in a lame attempt to prove me wrong.

like I've said time and time again. you don't know wvu. you don't know that during white's junior season we were almost down to a walkon qb as our starter. all of our scholarship qb's were hurt and played hurt. torn shoulders, concussions, you name it. no WR will be productive in this scenario. so yes he did only have ONE productive year, but you can't sit there and pin that on him when you don't know JACK of why it was.

Stanford was a second tier college football program. Come-on. Their academics are second to none in the country and it took Harbaugh to turn the school into a place in which top notch talent wanted to land. They'd have a good team every 3 or 4 years but not year after year. Their recruiting base is much less wide-spread because of their academics.

West Virginia is in a totally different situation. They are trying to build a football program to compete against football factories like Alabama and to do so, they have much less selectivity in who they recruit, including the JCs.

I didn't bring up Stanford other than to say that I would have drafted Peat as a offensive tackle
Talent pool is less because of there academic requirements but they always brought in a good recruiting class in football and basketball. They have to compete with UCLA and Cal from the academic part and also deal with recruiting powerhouses like USC, WASH, Oregon and ARI. I been watching college ball since the mid 90s and they always brought in a good class and always seem to grab one of the best QB in the nation out of hs.

They just couldn't win consistently but that had more to do with the competition in the Pac 12.

Um..... that player was the best offensive lineman in the draft and will be a stud starter for the Redskins for years to come. And he fit a NEED as an offensive lineman greater than the need at receiver for the Chicago Bears football team. There were receivers in that draft that the Bears could have gotten with a 3rd round pick that arguably will have as good or better careers in the NFL than White would. Barring injury, Scherff will make the pro bowl for many years more than White will, I predict. Do you predict that the opposite will be true?

Dude, Scherff was gone! WTF, stop already. Maybe we should have taken Williams and Winston and Mariota as well.

ND is horrible.
Look, we all know what a true enlightened expert of college football that you are. You have it emblazened on your every effort at posting to this board. We all thank you for hovering over this board with your drivel. Your all encompassing statement of comparing a G over a (let me quote you here ...."game breaking WR in contemporary football") is so fucking funny it should be preserved for posterity.

Try telling us this crap as the Bears offensive line continues to be below average in both pass and run blocking and that "game breaking WR in contemporary football" runs his merry way on the football field never being able to catch a football because his qb is on the ground and his running back cannot get off of the line of scrimmage.

Your naivete is profound as to the game of football. You know nothing, little Buckeye. You know nothing beyond what other people tell you. You are just another dumb shit poser as a poster. THAT IS ALL!

Lol, I was on here telling people for several months we should take 2 OL this draft in the first 4-5 rounds.

Jesus, it just gets worse and worse and worse with your endless bloviating.

Take the L; you don't need to be an expert to see you have no clue whatsoever about football in general.

Definitely shoulda taken Williams tho'....lol, since we're talking fantasy world football. My foot is hurting; who knew dead horses were so touch skinned?

Again says the guy who formed his opinion of Kevin White based on internet scouting reports instead of watching the tape himself.

While ignoring that they all had him as a premier talent and dwelling on the con portion of those reports.

Um, where did I ever say that I didn't see the guy play? I watch quite a bit of football and the combine when I can. I'm certainly not anykind of fanatic about it. Frankly I was shocked when the Bears drafted a receiver in the first round. Any receiver. Because they had other greater needs that should have been filled.

You are pretty funny in your criticism. I am not supposed to know as much about football as someone like yourself or that idiot from OSU? Because you "suppose" that I don't waatch the tapes of a player that you like? I don't like the fact that they didn;t get a quality offensive lineman in the first round and a receiver later. That is all. ANd the receiver that they did draft, has question marks on him that were given to him by some of the so-called experts on the draft. But I am not as qualified for my opinion as you or OSU who is nothing but a bag of wind. Hilarious.

Yeah best offensive lineman in a piss-poor draft for OL means jack shit. When the top OL in the draft projects to play inside because he gets worked by any rusher with speed that is a problem. Taking a guard in the top 10 is moronic, especially when you have two good ones on the roster.

White has the ability to change games. Scherff lacks the ability to even play LT. It is really not that hard.

Why are we even discussing Scherff? He was gone before we picked. Did Hawk want us to trade up for him or something? Lolz.

He has a raging boner for Scherff and any offensive lineman despite their skill level. Apparently we should have reached on Peat after the skins reached on Scherff instead of grabbing the BPA.

I just read like ten pages of this thread and came up with two conclusions.

1. This Hawk guy is really kinda dumb. Not because he disagrees with the White pick but because he cant read. Or just likes arguing.
2. Lets get real here. I only learned the one thing from this thread.

You know. You need to calm the hell down. My comment about Mother's Day was a little joke in response to your constant insults leveled against me. I sure as hell didn't mean anything derogatory against your family or your history. I apologized after your comment back. I am sorry if this happened to your family. But you need to calm down because it is you who decided for whatever reason to get personal and insulting to me.

Thats the end of my apology and all remaining communication with you. You need to calm down.

Wow are you truly incapable of considering you might be wrong? You really must be bored because no one is this obtuse.

When he says things got personal, he means the personal attack on me - which in subsequent private messages he turned his personal attack on my family into it being my fault.
