So? Aaron Rodgers wasn't recruited out of high school. Roethlisberger couldn't get the time of day from Ohio St. and had to play in the MAC at Miami OH. Khalil Mack went to Buffalo. Fucking Buffalo. Aaron Donald played in a weak conference and was nationally unknown prior to his senior year. Kyle Long bombed out of Florida St. and had to restart his career playing at Saddleback Community College and played about 12 minutes of football at Oregon before he was drafted. Dontari Poe played in C-USA. None of those guys was even a four star recruit. The fact that you think you're making some kind of salient point here is hilarious.

So the guy talking about credibility is the same one criticizing a pick when he hasn't watched a shred of tape. Just stop, create a new user name, and start over. You've burned this one.

All true. I touched on some of this yesterday. He'll simply ignore it and continue being blissfully ignorant.

If you want him to catch screen passes, I'm fairly sure he can do that. There's nothing really to argue about, I think I've just seen too many WR screens.

Not recruited out of high school. JUCO transfer to a 2nd tier football program which plays the likes of Georgia Southern, Liberty, Maryland, and Iowa State. Sure the guy put up great stats for ONE SINGLE SEASON. That gives me pause that he hasn't matched up against real corners. That tells me that the elite programs in the country ignored him. This also tells me that the RISK taking this guy in the first round was great and Pace will have only a few bullets of credibility left if this guy proves to be a bust.
At this point, I'm not sure if you're too stupid to keep forgetting to put Alabama on the list of teams he has played in college, or if you are doing a very delicate troll job.

They can run WR screens every play, the whole damn game, if they are working, for all I care. It's when they keep running the damn play when it's not working that's infuriating.

What's even funnier to me is when guys like The Hawk feel like they're making THE DEFINITIVE comment or criticism, when the proof is a google search away.

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/ncaaf/sagarin/

The above link is to Jeff Sagarin's final comprehensive FBS rankings for 2014. Put out after the bowl season. Take a look at it and you'll see that West Virginia had the 12th toughest schedule last season. Really, all one has to do is Google search, 'final fbs strength of schedule rankings, 2014' and they''ll see that West Virginia played a schedule routinely ranked in the top 25.

All I was responding to was your tone toward me. You happened to be one of the more level headed people on the board in my estimation. One I would call a serious poster, not a flamer trying to be funny or insulting. I can respect people disagreeing with me on anything and do the same to them because none of us are correct all of the time, particularly about a sport in which none of us are as saavy as the people being paid to make decisions.

YOu can question my knowledge of football all that you want but I then would have to question yours. So where does that leave us, huh? As to why I call myself, Hawk, that goes back many many years in my high school and college career. It also has nothing to do with Hawk Harrelson. You are correct about one thing, though, PapaB, I am more knowledgeable about baseball than football but I do know a bit about football also.

By the way, perhaps you might think about what PAPABEAR77 implies:)

As for this below:

He hasn't watched any of White's tape. He just hates the idea of White.

i never try to judge a book on just the cover so in saying that i don't see how you can judge white or anyone on this board that thinks white is going to be a great bear or even a good bear. yes there is risk there is risk in just about everything in life nothing is guaranteed. i can tell you this if you have watched his tapes and how he attacks the ball he is going to succeed in the nfl if he don't get hurt, how high his ceiling is no one knows a person to compare him to is long.not much college experience but his determination is why he is successful. its not just talent alone that makes you successful it how bad do you want it and what you willing to do for it.and if you watch his tape you can tell this kid wants...... Hawk watch his tapes..... watch them

Screen passes are part of the game. Having someone that can transition from the catch to moving the ball downfield is a big asset.

He doesn't have to just catch screen passes. 40 of his 109 were screen passes. That means 65% of his catches were not screen passes. A lot of what a receiver does is based upon the person getting him the football. Lets face it, West Virginia isn't exactly a quarterback mecca. Clint Trickett wasn't considered a pro qb prospect.

Lets see what he does with a true NFL quarterback that can throw downfield.

Yeah, truth here....I just don't see how you can criticize White for certain things, but absolve poor QB play.

Whether you like it or not Cutler can throw the ball downfield. He has an outstanding arm. His head may not be in the right place but there is nothing wrong with his arm strength.

He can do it pretty well when he sets his feet. However, we have seen him continually struggle with that. A lot of his INTs can be traced back to sloppy footwork on the throw (can't teach an old dog new tricks I guess).

Someone else doesn't understand how good the first three players that the Packers and Lions drafted are. Emotions have nothing to do with it.
The Lions had a pretty decent draft, the packers draft wasn't that great. I think the bears had a really good draft. Far better than GB. Can't make everyone happy.

Um.....Not according to the way the NCAA's own strength of schedule calculator looks at it. In 2013, West Virginia ranked 82nd in strength of schedule. In 2014, its schedule ranks 36th which surprised me but that year they scheduled 5 ranked teams including Alabama and Baylor.

I'll say this, though. I was WRONG in my strength of schedule determination. I looked at who they have scheduled for 2015 and saw, Georgia Southern, Liberty, Maryland, and Iowa State and made a determination from that which was a wrong conclusion. That 2015 schedule hasn't bee rated yet as far as I know, but it will be much weaker than that of 2014. So, once again, I was wrong about what kinds of teams that White played against.

NCAA Method of Ranking Strength of Schedule, WVU ranked #12 in 2014.

ND is horrible.
Lol at the moron trying to change the goal posts again by now going back to 2013, when in his initial treatment he started rattling off names of opponents from 2014 and talking about how the guy was a one yr wonder, lol.

This is a blood bath for Hawk; even if we take their SOS being at 36 that's not a weak schedule compared to the rest of the D1a, In fact it puts they in the top 70th percentile or so and around average for the 5 power conferences, lol.

I guess this moron didn't think anyone on this board knew anything about CFB and he could just shovel B.S. about how Kevin White was a scrub bc he went to a JUCO and how WVU didn't play anyone when anyone with a scintilla of CFB background knows what he said was just pure nonsense and foolishness.
