Bama 9 catches for 143 yds and a TD.

Do you want to continue this?

Ummm. That happened in the first game I believe. How did he do against those great powers Iowa State and TCU? Hmmm????

What OT do you think warranted a pick at #7? I honestly don't think there was a tackle in this year's draft that warranted a top 10 pick.

I'm on record saying I did not want Scherff at 7. He's not a franchise LT IMO and if you're drafting an OL in the top 10 he damn well better be a franchise LT.

And I don't think Flowers should've gone top 10 and I'm a Miami fan.

IF they couldn't have traded down, then Peat from Stanford. He was a better pick than White by far.

Uh, maybe you don't know this but TCU is a power now. They had a one loss last yr and were in the playoff discussion. Do you even follow college football at all?

Damn son, I said bring me my money....my backhand is getting sore from having to teach you so much.

Early in the year. Most of his yardage and td8s came early on. How'd he do in the 2nd half when they ran up against good defenses:(

news flash for ya. He had no healthy qb for a stretch of those games. When Clint trickett was healthy he wasn't being stopped. You don't know wvu football. Wvu is most definitely not a second tier school.

Really? How about the fact that the guy only ran four freeking pass patterns in college. Think that the NFL isn't a bit different than the defenses set against him in that NCAA conference?

Are you really Special person? What, in anything I wrote, suggests to you that I was talking about White's route tree?

Not to mention the fact that anything you say is laughable at this point. Keep grasping at straws.

Hawk was probably the only one here that didn't do backflips when Schreff got taken.

Not true, Gus. They were 36th which is a lot higher than I thought they were. It would be interesting to find out exactly how White did against the top quality opponents that they matched up against, though.
Quoted from the link you (hopefully) looked at:
1. Arkansas – 103-54, 65.61%
2. Virginia – 102-54, 65.38%
3. Tennessee – 101-54, 65.16%
4. Notre Dame – 103-56, 64.78%
5. Texas A&M – 100-55, 64.52%
6. Kentucky – 98-55, 64.05%
7. Iowa State – 97-57, 62.99%
8. Syracuse – 96-57, 62.75%
9. Rutgers – 97-58, 62.58%
9. Wake Forest – 97-58, 62.58%
11. Utah – 98-59, 62.42%
12. West Virginia – 97-59, 62.18%
13. South Carolina – 96-59, 61.94%
12th toughest schedule according to the NCAA method. So what the hell are you talking about???

Isn't there any thought in your mind that a limited route tree benefits a below average college QB, rather than a guy widely thought of as Top 10 talent by (from what I can tell) EVERY MAJOR scouting analyst in the country?

Keep moving those goal posts, as I'm sure the yards after reception, another one of White's strengths, are all gravy.

Is this thread still about White being selected at 7? Directly about it, not some convoluted arse backwards way, I mean totally on topic kind of way.

I bet some of you wish I still posted gifs and if you say no, you are only lying to yourself and stop cutting, it's not cool anymore.

All I know is that his 2nd half stats were much worse than the first half. And they are a 2nd tier school. By second tier I do not mean DIV2. I mean that blue chip athletes don't go there as a rule. That is just the simple truth. Its like in the west, the difference between being recruited by USC or Oregon as compared to Colorado or Utah.

Of the top guys in the draft Kevin White had the most impressive athletic numbers. It wasn't even really close with the guys who were considered elite, the only guy in the conversation would have been Beasley from an athletic upside point of view.

His numbers are almost identical to Julio Jones and are shockingly rare.

In fact I believe he is 1 of 4 players to run 4.3 in the 40 at 6'3" or taller.

Stephen Hill
Calvin Johnson
Julio Jones

Unique athletic traits.

To me he is a slightly less explosive version of Julio.

Imagine that his stats fell off after his qb was battling yet more concussions. Yeah blue chippers don't go there because we don't pay them like Bama does. But we do get blue chip recruits. In the top 20 for all time winningest program. So you can take your tier bs and shove it. You don't know wvu
