What if he's deemed ready by the brass? He's obviously NHL talent ready, just physically he needs to put on some more weight. I would assume he's been training the past month and still has 2 more before training camp. Could easily add another 5-10 pounds in that time.

2014-15 Schedule

Notes -

- First official game is October 9th at Dallas.

- Circus Trip is 6 games this year and looks like a really good organized trip to Western Canada, Denver, and Los Angeles, but we have a 7 game trip in late January-early February. Neither look too too bad. During that 7 game trip is also the All-Star Break, which is in Columbus. The start of that trip is in Pittsburgh, so it helps that we're already out there at the time.

- Our first game against Los Angeles is during the Circus Trip. Our first home game against the Kings is our only one..... March 30. We go to LA twice this year.

- Can't find the Rangers, Stu? We don't see them until March. We host them on the 8th and go to the Garden on the 18th.

- Another weird time for a game start... Try 3pm CST. We have two games with those times.... The Friday after Thanksgiving at Anaheim and March 14th at San Jose. We also host Boston on Sunday, February 22nd at 2pm, but that likely will also be on NBC. We have two 11:30 am starts (Feb 8 at St Louis and here on February 15 vs Pittburgh) and the 12pm Winter Classic game in Washington.

- Our games in St Louis include October 25, February 8, and April 9.

- I could be wrong, but I counted 9 back-to-backs this year... The weirdest has to be the February 8th game at St Louis which is a Sunday. Then there's a Monday game against Arizona. Who the hell thought of a Sun-Mon back to back? -.-

- December will be one hell of a month as we get Toronto and Montreal both within that month here in Chicago. We go to Boston then too.

- We get Detroit at home February 18. We go to Detroit Friday, November 14.

- A good road trip? Try Tampa Bay and Florida in late February. If I wasn't heading to Lexington, Kentucky that weekend, I'd be in Tampa that Friday instead. *sigh*

Not a chance they trade him away to a conference rival. For what, Kesler? That price tag alone won't fit under the cap unless you can get rid of Sharp or Seabrook.

In my opinion, losing 1-2 guys like that isn't worth it, especially when Teuvo has the potential to be a game breaker and more talented than Kesler. Plus, he's starting to his decline years as a forward when Teuvo hasn't even entered his prime years.

So you don't believe any of the reports that PK is pushing for Kesler and is a contributing factor in his resigning after next year?

I haven't seen any reports on this. Why would Kane leave and not resign if we didn't get Kesler? That's Special person. Him and Toews will essentially **** up anything like that due to THEIR new contracts.

While it's a nice pipe dream, moving TT and another core player for Kesler could be a nightmare for the Hawks down the road. Not worth it IMO.

My point was, you made it sound like Kesler or bust. What about someone else at center who's talented and would compliment him? Richards, Spezza, Thornton come over instead and Kane's going to bolt? Highly unlikely.

Check out Elliott Freidman from right after the Olympics for starters. Many reports of Kane wanting Kesler at the trade deadline.

That's not my point. Shit I want Kesler too.

My point was is that the ultimatum? Kesler or bust? What about another decent 2nd line center.

They've needed a second center since Troy Murray retired. Should I continue to hold my breath?

The Kings exposed us up the middle. Priority #1 this off season better be a 2nd line center if the plan is to take back the Cup.

As for the schedule...I'm a little ass hurt the Hawks are only gonna be in Phoenix once this year (yeah...I live here)....and in March no less!!!!! As for a C...I'm thinkin' Thornton is a more realistic get...especially if Sharpie is bein' dealt. Yes...1st post. Be gentle on me. Been lurking and following you boneheads for a couple years....good group.

Doubt we could afford Thornton unless we free up a lot of cap space. Think it would be too detrimental as we'd lose more than 2-3 guys, to the Sharks no less.

Welcome though to the boards.... Stay away from Grimson.

I am getting a lot of pressure from even Yotes fans to attend the game in Phoenix this year.

Since a tempting series back in my old hometown is during Turkey Day weekend, that would cost me $1500. My family and friends have not helped pony up anything to assist, so I assume they aren't interested... heh. That leaves me to other options.

A Phoenix trip would only charge me $750 if that. If I started saving now, which I can, I could get the plane ticket sometime in October... I've been lured with a free car ride as well as other nice amenities during the trip. I even got a good rate for a local hotel in town.

Wish my other allies would do this for me, especially Tampa Bay which I preferred to go to instead had I not had plans to go to Lexington, Kentucky that weekend.

I didn't want to use a personal day off of work for a hockey game, but I certainly am considering it. There's nothing really else entertaining on the schedule for me this year, except for Columbus, which I have already been to. The allure of Columbus isn't as it once was ages ago.

So, chances are, #95 might be heading to Phoenix. Welcome to the boards!!

.... and "Be gentle", you say? Since you are a post virgin, I assume some lube will be in order. Where's Jako when you need him? (j/k of course)
