There were some blatant non-calls for us yesterday. For example, when Richards was trying to poke the puck in, Buff came in swinging for no reason while the play was still going on. Or how about the high stick that gave Briere stiches? That should have been a major and went uncalled.

Lets not forget the cross check to Hossa, which left him in pain. Or Pronger's cross check on Ladd at the blue line. And Buff came in swinging because Richards was taking swings at Niemi's glove hand, if you watch any other game with any other team you will see the exact same reaction.

How about your moron player in the crease slashing away a few times at Niemi's glove hand?

That would be called protecting the goalie in that case ... reminds me of why I hated CenterIce as they kept giving me the non-Chicago feeds back in the day -and the color guy for the Panthers was completely gobsmacked as to why something similar happened ( I think it was Gary Suter- came in and nailed a Florida player) ... couldn't understand it all - even though the Florida player was hacking at the goalie with his stick....

The color guy for the Panthers then (who knows maybe he still is)??? HoF Denis Potvin -- what a dick -- as if he didn't know why it was happening -- and I call him a dick -because that kind of crap actually breeds ignorant fans -- and the sport definitely doesn't need any more of those.

To Denis Potvin (granted like 15 years late) ... :bigfinger:

I'd be prepared, Hawks fans. I expect Philly to come out with a ridiculous flurry of offense in the opening minutes of Game 5. Hawks just have to weather that storm better than Philly did last night.
i agree...weather it, then attack

Major is a bit much. I think there has to be a deliberate attempt to injure to draw five minutes, and I don't recall seeing that. Absolutely a double-minor, though, because it drew blood.

I'll say the officiating has been inconsistent for the entire SCF ... good teams play through that. And that's why the Hawks won Game 1, 2, and 5 and Philly won Games 3 and 4.
