I dunno ... I'm just alarmed that I noticed Rosenbloom is writing like I have been posting.... :-O He needs to stop that right now.

I think we've done nothing but shop in thrift stores for the last year.

Brunette was a maybe. Montador and O'Donnell were "ehhh"s. Mayers was a "whatever". We didn't land a single real contributor. Mayers has played better than expected but has he made an impact? Nope. Brunette, et al, have been wastes of money.

This new joker is just more of the same.

Why didn't we land a 2nd line center? In the offseason we could have gotten any number of players like Plekanec or Prospal who would have made this team better. Why didn't we go after Ott or even a Souray on defense?

I'm confused. We're WAY under the cap. Maybe they're still suffering actual wallet shock from the Huet contract and it's a self-imposed cap. Hopefully they'll do something in the offseason when Huet falls off the nipple.

Ugh... We needed a top 4 or 6 defenseman who can skate the puck out of the zone, OR one who can play on the PK and make up for Crawford's/Emery's shortcomings, and a second (or third if you want to move Bolland up) center.

We got one spud. Hooray.

Guess we'll be looking forward to next year.

There is no actual proof Plekanec was available. Prospal is almost 40 years old with a knee history. He may take face-offs but after that he is playing a wing position.

Dallas is still in contention, and could still win their division and #3 seed. That's why they held on to their assets like Ott and Souray.

dallas will be tough if they do make the playoffs. I wouldnt like the matchup
