It's getting around the time where rumors & moves pick up. The past couple years the hawks have made some bigger moves prior to the deadline rather than deadline day. This is to also bring some discussion

I know the source isn't reliable, and this is to spark some discussion. The Hawks have been a trading partner with the jets/thrashers the past couple years. I doubt it happens and think jokinen is probably much more likely to bring in.

Evander Kane makes 5.25 million, Jokinen makes 4.5.

The Hawks 1.1 million in cap space.

It's just not financially possible for any of those trades to happen.

If Winnipeg rebuilds they can retain salary, I doubt they will. I really hope we can swing something for Ott or Gagner

Exactly. We need some space in the cap. Hoping we pick up Gagner, but with our 1.1 million cap I'm pretty sure he won't take it..

The Hawks have a cheaper version of the same guy and he is playing for the Hogs. Gagner also signed a ridiculous contract which makers him untradeable and wouldn't fit under the cap unless the Hawks sent Bickell the other way and that isn't happening.

My unattainable reach trade would be getting Buff back for Bickell + while the Peg retains salary. But realistically the Hawks will swoop up some vet center in his final year who hasn't won a Cup. I have no idea who is out there but Ott would be interesting.
