Hilarious any talk about the Bulls getting anything in this draft with the 22nd pick. They are going to dismantle this team and try and rebuild it with offensive players to fit Gar's style with their lackey coach jumping through his hoops. 5th in the division next year at best.
Jimmy Butler was the 30th pick.

By the way.....speaking of that 2011 draft: Jimmy Butler is only one of 3 players from that draft to make an all-star team.

He's the only Finals MVP to not make the All Star team right?
I'd have to look that up, but just thinking about it I can't imagine there are many who fit that bill. He does play in an awfully crowded western conference, so that doesn't help him. I'm not sure Jimmy gets a nomination or MIP if he's in the west.

Maxwell also has his number retired by the Celtics - presumably because of his playoff performances only. Nothing about him says he was that great in the regular season.

He was on a stacked team.. but even once traded away from the Celtics, he still never put up gaudy numbers of any kind. He was the same position as Bird and had his best season the year before Bird showed up.

His playoff numbers overall aren't all that different from his regular season numbers...

And as far as stats go, he didn't really seem to outplay Bird that much concerning the #'s. Especially given Bird got 15.3 RPG in those finals lol.

Looking at those stats, I'm genuinely shocked Maxwell got MVP.

Bird was shutdown by Houston's defense in that series offensively.. Could be there was zero WOW factor for the voters. Maxwell picked up Bird's slack.

But yeah definitely the worst Finals MVP in history thus far.

Leonard needs to at least make an All-Star team to get him out of that category.

Actually Leonard only averaged 17.8ppg that series due to the first two games where he had foul trouble. Idk what else Maxwell did in that series though. Maybe he was a good defender too or something.

I'm guessing it's not so much how much, but when he put up the numbers.

Could be. Leonard put up some big points in the last 3 games of that series to really push SA over the top if I recall right. Danny Green I believe also did a lot of timely scoring.

He did. I think he had one game in 1 or 2 where he hardly scored at all which really effected his PPG. I think he shot a very high percentage in those final 3 games...I want to say like 60%?

real talk

you are better off fading on a 3 with a defender in your face than hitting a simple layup

Lol sadly this isn't even much of an exaggeration. I could go on and on about how bad that game sucks. The best shot in the game is mid range and statistically speaking it's the worst shot in basketball. Got to love 2k.
