Apparently it's going to be an offensive day. Lynn's getting lit up too.

Lynn came in with a 3.10 ERA... he's up to 3.50 right now.

I did switch off the radio to check out the Olympic opening ceremony, still following on Gameday. Wife and I are trying to figure out if the Brits were prescient enough to have David Tennant be the official torch-lighter (for any of you who are Doctor Who fans).

Yeah it is turn back the clock day with this game looking like it was from a decade ago.

Cubs tie... Wood gives up a HR... the wind really doesn't seem to be blowing THAT hard out to RF.. but even Matt Carpenter is putting it out now. Might be time to pull the BP pitcher and put in someone that's not missing his spots by half a foot.

With Justin Germano most likely going on Monday they don't really have a long man in the pen.

With Garza out for Monday and possibly Dempster out for Tuesday they can't really afford to make this a bullpen day. Might as well let Travis Wood try to work it out on his own, as the loss would help more than a win right now anyway.

This is a lot better than that four-run inning, though

I think Wood has to try to get through at least six to give the bullpen a breather. They should just throw Corpas for a couple innings and then give one of the lefties a garbage inning if this gets out of hand.

Wow that was odd. Have to imagine Valbuena screwed up because why would you put a hit and run on with Wood?

I guess at some point we just have to stop questioning things and just enjoy the fail

They might still make him go six full if he can limit it to just that one home run this inning.
