I never realized how awful "rebuilding" was. I hate this shit. I feel like I could shutout the Cubs. And I've never pitched before.

Rebuilding isn't always like this. The fact that the core of the team and the infrastructure was so terrible is why this current stripped-down version is so terrible.

Well I hope we can at least get playoffable soon. This is getting rough losing all the time. Since I've been a fan we have made the playoffs 4 times. '98, '03, '07, '08. But I guess it's better than being a fan of them during the 50's through the early 80's haha

The goal is to be in the playoffs every year, not just every few years.

Some random pitcher. Maybe Milwaukee wants to spot the Cubs some pity runs.

It is. But you can't think that the FO thinks these teams they are building are going to make any noise for at least a few years. It's too long a process. Basically throwing several years away.

Doesn't mean they're not doing stuff behind the scenes. It's just the way it is.

Aramis Ramirez actually looked good on that play, apparently.

Thought Ramirez had terrible D? He's had some good plays tonight.

Even Miguel Cabrera and Prince Fielder look good sometimes. For the most part Rami has bad range and a not-so-accurate arm.

If only the Cubs could play a whole game like it's the 9th inning. But maybe it only helps since the Brewers have the worst pen in the league.

Sometimes they really really suck in the 9th inning

Whoever sets up next thread, make sure you put out a tribute to former Cubs legend Tyler Colvin :D

A-Ram actually has been VERY good on D this year for the Brewers. Most thought coming into the season he would be slightly below average like most years, but his UZR so far this season is 8.3. Last year it was -10.9

A-Ram's UZR last 5 years:

2008: -4.1
2009: -5.6
2010: -9.1
2011: -10.9
2012: 8.3

Most Brewers fans thought he would have to move to 1B sometime in the next year, but so far this year, he's been solid at 3B.

WAR last 5 years:

2008: 4.7
2009: 2.2
2010: 0.4
2011: 3.6
2012: 4.0 (so far)
