Ald. George Cardenas (12th) proposes that commuters begin paying $200 annually. That way, he says, they would help pick up the tab for streets and rail lines that they use.
That's pretty cool. I know my prop tax bill just about doubled!
LOL, aren't the tolls I pay to get to work supposed to cover the streets? And why are they doing construction in the exact same stretches of road as a few months ago?
Take the tolls down and I'll gladly pay the $200 up front. It'll save me money.
