I feel bad for Hill if these two teams are his only option. If he is traded you can bet OBJ ends up with the Chiefs

My favorite teams
  1. Atlanta Braves
  1. Golden State Warriors
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Vegas Golden Knights
  1. Duke Blue Devils
  2. Nebraska Cornhuskers
Unrestricted free agent after the season, he just turned 28 and his game primarily relies upon speed. While I'd love to have a player of his abilities, I don't think the Bears are close enough to contention to justify the contract costs (especially after negotiating an extension) and draft pick compensation required to get a deal done. By the time the Bears are "good", he's probably 30 or 31.

So at that point, are you better off having the players you drafted by keeping the picks and cap flexibility from not doing a trade or having Hill on a big contract while hitting his 30s?

Reasonable people can disagree but I'd rather keep the picks and cap flexibility than trade for Hill given where the Bears are as a team as currently constructed.

Reasonable people won't disagree. Trading for Hill would be stupid.

Not worth the draft Capitol. I could see the contract, but not a 1st and whatever they are wanting.

Bears should have zero interest in this.

This year is about cleaning up, next year is about competing. I'd say even if the Bears were right on the verge this is the type of deal I would not want Poles to do. Hill has 1. only had Mahommes 2. Is getting older 3. Already has a ring, looking to cash out. I have no evidence that he won't give the maximum, but it's not a risk I'd be willing to take for that investment.

Yeah, I don't think you'll have to worry about the bears being interested lol.

Also, not sure what you mean he's "only had Mahommes," he was a stud before Mahommes became a starter.

I don't think there's a high risk of him not continuing to be elite honestly, but at the price he's commanding, really not worth it unless a team feels he's the missing piece...which is why it's funny the Jets are in on it.

I think Hill is a better weapon than A-Rob.

Smart move for the Chiefs as they can't resign him. Mahomes is never going to have a good as a team as he came into the league with.

He did have one really good year before Mahomes (and a solid rookie year) became the starter but three of his four best years have been with Mahomes. Anyway, I totally agree that he's unlikely worth the investment.
