My favorite teams
If the Bulls can only bring one player out of Kirk and DJ, who would you choose?
The advantage Kirk has is size/defense. DJ gets 5.0 assists to Kirks 3.9 and has a better assist to turnover ratio, I would say the offense ran fine with him.if all you want is scoring off the bench at that spot DJ does that well. What that ignores is who else are they going to have coming off the bench? What if they sign a bunch of shooters and scorers? Guys who can get shots up are the easiest thing to find out there. But those types of players have to be reigned in by somebody who will run the offense so it doesn't become a contest to see who can score the most off the bench. The leadership and defense that Kirk brings isn't going to fall into your lap can't just be found everywhere.

I have confidence that Hinrich will sign for the min here. Perhaps that's why the team "overpaid" him initially...to give him a little more money with the understanding that he'd be back for the min next time. DJ's asking price is the key here. The market is looking crazy high right now so it's possible that DJ is out of our range. Maybe he'd be willing to take a discount, but no one can blame him for looking for that payday.I still don´t understand why this has to be a "either ... or ...."
If Hinrich signs for the league vet (which I think he will) there is no reason to choose.
The question is do you have another 3-5 million to resign DJ?
Bench scoring?Who cares? If Rose goes down, no back up PG can replace him. Season would be over. Any PG that can play a competitive 10 min would do.
What the heck is Kirk's excuse then?Frankly, Thibodeau seems to get the most out of PGs (Rose, JL3, DJ, Nate) not too worried about the backup.
