Completely overblown story thanks to the social media-driven society we live in. I can't speak entirely for CP3 not being a sexist, but it is obvious after hearing the comments that they were not meant to be sexist. The reaction to this is insanely idiotic imho. If it was a male rookie ref, the phrase would have been "maybe this isn't right for him".
I don't feel all of those techs were warranted but the one on Paul was absolutely legit. He rushed out at her, screaming and getting in her face. What the hell did he think would happen? And Jordan CLEARY screamed "GODDAMMIT!!" right at her when she didn't call a foul on his dunk. However, that first tech of the sequence was complete bullshit. Nothing in that play deserved a technical. I think the only person who has a legitimate beef is Matt Barnes. He didn't deserve his first tech at all. Though he should've just shut up after that and he didn't.
I think refs need to try and be more oblivious to some of the body language reactions that seem to get techs called. It's ok to let a players throw his hands up in frustration, or yell at himself, or mean mug. These are simple reactions in the highly emotional sports world. T'ing up players for it has always seemed dumb to me. Players going at each other, or swearing at refs, or fans, yes give them a T or toss them, but refs have got to learn how to focus more on the PLAYS and less on the REACTIONS all the time.
