Mond is the craziest QB evaluation I've ever seen. It's one thing if a mid-round QB puts up crazy numbers and doesn't have great talent/measurables in a gimmicky offense. It's one thing if a mid-round QB is super athletic and more of a runner and a raw passer with upside that needs more experience. But Mond is kind of all over the place. He's super athletic; a 3.5 year starter, but still raw as a passer; he has the measurables and sometimes great numbers, but then sometimes his numbers are dismal.

Dude went 25-35, 338 yards, 3 TDs in upsetting #4 Florida this year.....then later in the year, went 11-34, 105 yards against the worst LSU defense in school history.

On any given day, Mond can be a 2nd round prospect or undraftable. I used the analogy on Twitter that he's the type that could beat 13-1 Green Bay on the road in week 16 (complete with game-winning TD drive) to keep the Bears wildcard hopes alive, but then crap the bed in the finale at home vs. Detroit.

We're supposed to be impressed with averaging 2 TD's per game(over his career) with schedules that had plenty of cupcakes?
His passer rating ranked 29th in all college football, his yards/attempt ranked 40th, and rarely made any impressive jump statistically. Jimbo has amassed a lot of talent at TAMU as well so its not like he was playing on a talent-less roster.
Joe Burrow had 60 passing TD's himself in 2019. Mac Jones had 41 TD's last year in a shortened season. Nothing about his Mond's statistics is remotely impressive. He was a collegiate game manager in an offense that played fast and used some spread concepts at times. And still had average to slightly above average stats. Let it go. Use a late mid round pick on him and hope he develops.

"cupcakes?" Many here have said Mond faced good competition.

I never said or promoted him as a "greatest ever" day 1 starter. I looked at both his stats, turnover rate and accomplishments ( see awards), as reasons to put him in the conversation as a rookie we could draft and develop.

Below are total numbers for some of the other prospects
Trask has 77 total tds 15ints. Mac Jones 58tds 7ints v Trevor Lawrence 108 tds 17ints (very good) , zach wilson 71tds 5ints Justin Fields. , 86tds 9ints, Jamie Newman , 45tds 16ints, Trey Lance 36tds 2ints, Davis Mills 21tds 8ints

Trask was a notable miss. Some had him above Mac Jones. Now that seems like it's not even a remote possibility. I'm thinking the side by side type comparisons between the two at the Senior Bowl directly hurt him.

theyll look like fools when fields doesnt pan out

I think Fields could be good, but he needs to go somewhere where he can develop. Like if he falls to 20 and we draft him, he's fucked, and we're fucked.
