I think Josh Smith would help the defense and make the Bulls the undisputed best defense in the NBA. The Heat are just as good if not better right now on defense.

Smith is not as good of a rebounder as Boozer but they still have Joakim Noah and Omer Asik so no worries there.

Smith is not as good of a mid-range jump-shooter as Boozer but Boozer's jump-shooting isn't going to win them a title anyway.

Smith is a guy who can dribble penetrate and get to the FT line. He can also pass for others. He's a HUGE transition offensive threat. Can you imagine having two bigs who can RUN like Noah and Smith out there?

Smith > Boozer.

I'd take Josh Smith in a heartbeat. One of the best leapers in the NBA. Great shot blocking ability.

Smith > Boozer.

Agree with most of this, except the part about the Heat's D being better than ours.

I think the biggest asset that Smith brings to the table is athleticism. This team is sorely lacking in that category with really only Rose, Brewer, Taj, & Butler possessing good to great skill. We tend to struggle against the more athletic teams (Philly, Indy, & of course Miami). I would take Smith in a heartbeat.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  2. Golden State Warriors
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
No.The Bulls is the best defensive and rebounding team in that planet.

Maybe the best rebounding team, but look at who the Heat have.

Chalmers: decent defender, great at getting steals
Wade: all defensive team member
Lebron: all defensive team
Bosh: decent-ish defender...better than Boozer by a mile
Anthony: great shot blocker
Haslem: one of the best floppers...er charge takers in the league
Battier: fantastic defender
Cole: decent defender

The only liabilities on that team are James Jones and Mike Miller...and they don't even play that much.

Best defenders from CHI & MIA:

Chicago has the worst defender on the court (Boozer) and Miami has the best one (James). I live on Earth. Where do you live?

No.Anthony and Bosh is the worst defenders on the court.

I would do that deal instantly if I am the GM of the Blazers. Get a few assets for a guy who is leaving the team next year is very smart a 1st and CJ Watson would be like stealing.

i'd just offer CJ+Lucas first but would ultimately add the pick if need be

CJ is solid but Crawford > CJ

lucas i'd give away for a bag of chips

the pick is not gonna be that good....at best it'd be another jimmy who is solid (or alteast looked so in the small sample size ive seen him)...but is not gonna add the scoring punch we need to get pass MIA...now im not sayin if we get Crawford we'd get pass MIA but he'd sure help

with rip not being able to stay on the floor deng with his wrist hell CJ cant stay out there this is the 2nd or 3rd time hes been out this year...i say we need to make a move

its not really a bad deal for either team

at best Jimmy Butler?? you do realize Carlos Boozer Monta Ellis, Manu Dennis Johnson and 100+ other great players were picked in the 2nd rd . A late 1str rd isnt a throw away asset IMO maybe to you but not for me.

Has his shot selection improved any since the Bulls traded him several years ago? IIRC, he never met a shot he didn't like.
