Rios sucks this year. But to say De Aza is better than him period is BS.

De Aza has been in the minor leagues for a reason.

If you think he's the long term answer then you're high.

Because there wasn't a place for him on the roster? De Aza was dumped by Florida because he couldn't stay healthy, but guess what? He's been healthy the last two seasons. De Aza was regarded as a top prospect.

De Aza probably isn't better than Rios is Rios can perform what he's paid to (2007 stats, which probably won't ever happen again). But Rios' career averages is probably what we can expect from De Aza and maybe more.
