Was looking at mocks and such and was curious what he is worth.

Would you pull the trigger if it took 2014 1st Rounder, 2015 1st Rounder, and 2014 3rd Rounder?

What is too much?

That said --------------- I think trading any future picks at this point is not in the Bears best interest.

So if we pulled off:

1) Clowney
2) Louchiez Purifoy
4) DaQuan Jones
5) BPA
6) BPA

FA:
FS or SS

Would it be okay?

Bears have too many holes to fill, and too many positions with no depth at all to trade up. Would be great to get a talent like Clowney but sometimes the chips just don't fall that way.

And lose next years #1? I think I'd pass. Nice thought but not really real IMO

I would rather go Ealy in the first and let the chips fall. Or trade down a little and go with one of the DTs

Every GM in the league would take that, except Houston who would need more.

There is no way.

Even if Houston goes QB, look at what RG3 was worth to the Redskins.

Rams get: 2nd-overall pick (2014), 6th-overall pick (2012), 22nd-overall pick (2013), 39th-overall pick (2012)

And that was to move up 4 spots!!! 4!!!! How the hell are you going to move up 12?

This is not a QB, and maybe not a very good DE. Go smoke some more and come back later.

If he makes it past the Rams and slides to the Raiders or Falcons I'd pull the trigger. I think some team will be willing to trade with St. Louis to get him at #2 though...

If that happens the Rams are going to have a really nice young team.

Houston should take Clowney, he is the real deal. I am smoking something for thinking that? lol….I mean I am smoking something, but I think he actually is the real deal so I don't know what to do with that.

We clearly haven't done a sufficient job with our "Clowney is fat" campaign. If we had, he would have made a precipitous fall down everyone's draft boards by now and this conversation would be moot.

But no, you don't trade next year's 1st and whatever else to pick up a DE. QB is the only position worth that kind of mortgage.

Don't be fooled Houston is taking a QB.

In the mod forum planning your ban
Cowney is a beast but has a shit reputation and bad history with the law as well. He might just slip out the top 5 if he isn't that impressive during the combine

I was thinking more along the lines of getting up to the 4-7 range.
