I don’t know at all if Ben Johnson wants anything to do with the shitshow, and if he does I have severe doubts about his intelligence. But even if he does not want the job he would pretty wise to act like he wants it as much as possible to drive up his price elsewhere.

If it’s true and he wants the job, that doesn’t mean he is not intelligent. Bears fans would bow down to him if he could put an offense on the field half as good as the Lions.

Think speaking about another teams OC and potential next HC is more news worthy than “players talk” about your own/previous coaching staff. Williams didn’t have to say anything about Johnson. Williams had to speak to the media when asked about Flus/Waldron.

100% agree but Smith is a better candidate than a lot of names that have been mentioned. That doesn’t mean I want him as HC though.

I'm kind of curious why Ben Johnson would want the CHI job so much. The rumors of him wanting it last year as well. I kind of don't get it.

Because they have the quarterback, cap space, and a much better roster than a five and 12 record would indicate. No, it’s not a championship level roster by any stretch, but it’s better than most teams are looking for new coaches.

Why do the Bears always over correct? Last go round they rushed through hiring a coach and only inteviewed a few coaches. This time they are interviewing everyone possible.
