Honestly there's a small part of me that is laughing that between the Bears and the Raiders it seems like one of them will get Ben Johnson and the other one will be completely embarrassed, unless something wild happens and he either goes back to Detroit or lands with the jags and then both the Raiders and the Bears look absolutely silly, especially if the Raiders higher that GM hoping it'll land them Ben Johnson.
Raiders could hire Arron Glenn, to give them the opportunity to build the team. Whoever they hire is going to fail for the next 3+ years.

Everything here is correct, ESPECIALLY THE LAST LINE!
He gets a CAST for a fucking cyst then sits front row at a basketball game. He knows exactly what he’s doing there. And that’s only a couple days after going on a ninety minute flirt session spilling the beans to a division rivals’ most passionate player.

Btw Amon-Ra St. Brown clearly doesn’t give a rat’s ass about maintaining “friendship” with a guy who spent half the interview bragging about how much money he made in college knowing full well the guys he was talking to lived in dorms and had to go to class. St. Brown had him on his podcast purely on behalf of Dan Campbell who now has a direct line to a division opponents quarterback.

There were some reports that Thomas Brown and Caleb Williams had not interacted much at all prior to Brown becoming OC. However, I don't think that was driven by Caleb, I think that was driven by Eberflus and Waldron. The rest of the context was that Waldron kept most of the position groups segregated and didn't even have meetings with the offense a whole group.

It probably goes back to the year before when Fields talked about there being too many voices in his ear.

IMO, it goes back to shitty coaching and not having a consistent, coherent message to the players.
Cope. It was 100% Caleb’s rule. It makes absolutely no sense for the Bears to have such a prohibition.

And it wasn’t “hadn’t interacted much” it was literally “zero interaction AT ALL”. And Thomas Brown was the PASSING GAME COORDINATOR. Caleb thinks he’s better than everyone, which I guess was true in high school and playing San Jose State, but he’s such a diva he’s not even realizing how much a reality check the pros are. This is of course fueled by an adoring media and fanbase who watches him put up three points at home against the dregs of the NFL and still gushes over the generational talent.

He’s not going to be coach of the Bears unless the Raiders decide they don’t want him.
In your little brain, how would you qualify the Raiders decided not to want him? Ie if they don’t announce, they’re hiring him after his in person interview today does that mean the Raiders don’t want him, or more likely Ben Johnson is choosing to wait until the bears interview is complete because that would mean he prefers the Bears, right?

Literally anyone could make a fake account and act like Kev and Sam. It’s just engagement farming. They are giving people what they want to hear.

You admire some random nobody on the internet? ok

Let me be clearer then and provide context: He's one of the rumor people that routinely gets shit on here. One of the things I hear is how they don't ever actually own what they say and just move on to the next rumor.

This guy is staking his reputation, saying it before anyone else is (not that the Bears are interested - that BEN JOHNSON WILL BE A BEAR), and if he's wrong, basically he's sunk and out of the rumor mill rotation. He's done.

He effectively is staking his role in the rumor mill on Ben to the Bears, knowing he's toast if that doesn't end up the case.

So yeah, in a business where you DO see a lot of people move on from bad takes and wrong predictions like they never happened (NFL Notifications on Twitter is a GREAT example of this), I do kind of admire someone willing to put their reputation on the line that a rumor is legit.

Here is what’s going to happen. Johnson is going to interview with all 3 teams probably Tuesday - Thursday. Then pick a team Friday based on who offers the most money. I think he is fine with all 3 teams.

He ain’t done he will just create a new account and you will believe that one.

"I admire a random twitter account is making guesses."

Weird that this is what MJY admires.

Guy is a nobody on the interwebs, he just stops posting on twitter and MJY will forget about him in a week.

Makes sense. Trade for guy that got beat out ad the backup by HS coach signed 2 weeks ago.

I hear its the main reason he wants to go to the raiders, so he can have hooker start

Or all that would be the same even without the Rooney Rule in place.
Maybe but then why wasnt that the case before the Rooney Rule?

Part of the reason for the requierement is so guys can get experience interviewing and also get real feedback from NFL teams regarding what they need to improve on.

After last nights performance I can definitely see the John Shoop connection with Johnson.

Because everything has growth with or without the Rooney Rule.

Yeah i understand why they made the Rooney Rule but many of those interviews are nothing more than a mirage to fill their part of the Rooney Rule so not sure how much these guys are getting from these interviews when they're meaningless. At least they'll get it out there that they've been interviewed for the highest coaching position.
