Fucking why????????????

Can’t wait for the bears to go with some new unknown again 🐻

They are dysfunctional and that’s what you get a “wide net”. Easiest way to overthink this and end up with another Trestman.

Bears getting really random with it now.

I can only think of 2 reasons, and both have to do with the fucking McCaskeys.

The Bears always do this, where "look at us, we're casting a wide net! We will leave no stone unturned!" seems like it sounds impressive to the McCaskey family, who confuse activity with action, whereas good teams have a rough idea and a short list from jump.

So either, the Bears are doing this again and going to **** this up... or...

The Bears are doing this again, but under Warren's supervision to basically shut the McCaskeys the **** up, but in his head, he has his short list. They got time to kill until Wednesday, so may as well load em up to make George happy, then pat him on the head and give him a cookie and send him to his room while the adults do the real work.

As unlikely as it sounds, Bears fans better fucking pray its the second one.

I’d say Ben Johnson will prefer the Patriots job over the Bears. Ownership is 100x better and that’s something that the Bears can’t fix. They also have a more prototypical NFL QB in Maye. Caleb has more talent but the question is will he ever play within a system consistently.
I think the statement that ownership in New England is 100 times better than ownership in Chicago is completely off the mark

I don’t think anyone knows how Robert Kraft will handle things other than when he let Belichick run the show.

So far in a small sample, he ran off the best coach ever for his handpicked guy who he kept for only one year.

And tries to run the program on a skeleton staff.

If anything, I think New England lends itself to a Dallas Cowboys situation post Jimmy Johnson, where an owner has to try to prove it was his input versus the man he had originally hired, and then fired.

Would you relax? I have never seen Dan orlovsky hyping up the Bears off season footage. I said what I said I don’t watch the shit.
I’m relaxed. I’m asking you simple questions. I don’t watch espn either outside of game broadcasts and the draft. But the places I named are places where viral clips are regularly found.

Lol.

Different cities are all bitching about the exact same thing this morning and it's a bit funny.

People really hate casting a wide net I see.

Last time around, people criticized them for only having three candidates this time you’re saying “they always do this, casting a wide net.”

And we also always want to say it’s the McCaskeys who are fucking it up when we don’t know if they have anything to do with it whatsoever.

Fans just pretty much throw anything out there at this point don’t they?

Vrabel probably took interview with Jets because that's one of his new division rivals.
Mike Vrabel taking interviews is simply the same as any other coach at this point, it gives them leverage.

People are assuming his interviews are for hc they can easily be for dc

Yes, everyone is assuming they’re for head coach because there are teams that are talking to him for head coach positions. There’s not a chance in the world he’s interviewing for a defensive coordinator with teams that don’t have a head coach.

I think you are confusing the initial search with the finalists.

Edit: And I just found proof that they "cast a wide net" in 2022:

I guess YOU are one of the fans just pretty much throwing anything out there?

I stand by what I said about the Bears "process". Same as it ever was.
