am I to understand Kmet is a failure because he didn't get 1000 yards in a season? he's a TE, not a WR. temper your expectations, people.

I don't know his stats but if he got 600 yards last season that's actually pretty good. lol
Yeah, I think people were expecting Kelce and he isn’t that. Kmet was never going to be like Kelce. But Kmet can be productive. More than yards, the big areas for improvement for him is getting TDs and making some clutch catches.

Yup I totally agree. I also think most are surprised that he had the 12th most yards among TEs last year. So with even moderate improvement he's amongst the five best in the league. No one is Kelce but it feels like any other decent TE is and that they are all the same.

It's quite the opposite, it's Kelce and everyone else.

That definitely NOT happening.
Why can't Mooney get to 1200 up from 1066 and Kmet get up to 800 up from 612?

That alone should happen with Dalton and Foles gone. These aren't massive leaps in year 3.

If you think that's impossible then what you're indirectly saying is you don't believe Fields will improve.

He was 12th in yards among TEs. He had a sneaky good year for his second season and for the chaos that existed on offense.

I bet ppl after 2018 that Mitch Trubisky couldn't get 3,800 yards - he had 3,100 in 2018 and ended up with 3,200 in 2019.

For some reason Bears fans never think a player can regress or have a bad year. Like it's a lock they'll be much better than the year prior.

Are you insane? Coal Kermit is not a top 5 TE. Lay of the drugs Daniel.

He aint no Ditka
He aint no Dez Clark
He aint no G-regg Olsen
He aint no Marty B
He aint no Emory Moorhead
He aint even a Zach Miller
He aint no Cap Boso
He aint no Jimmy Graham.

That's just Bears ya big dummy. You wanna go toe to toe with me on every other NFL team?

Top 5?

I'm not implying Kelce isn't in the conversation for best TE of all-time, but your statement: "Kelce is the greatest TE that has ever played the game and it's not even close" was a little ignorant.

You have to include Tony Gonzalez, Jason Witten, Antonio Gates, Shannon Sharpe, Rob Gronkowski all in the conversation.
I'd add Jimmy Graham to that list.

60 catches for over 600 yards is good for a second year player. Especially with such ongoing chaos between changing of the QBs last year.

Not bad for a soft TE i guess.. amber heard allegedly hits harder

Is it a lock they'll be better? No. But if they aren't better then Justin isn't the answer.

I understand this is hard for you to understand. But Kmet was 12th overall in yards last year for a TE. The player with the fifth most yards last year Dallas Goedert with 830 yards. 830 to Kmet's 616 yards is a 214 yard difference. Nine touchdowns was the season high and there was a mixture of guys that averaged around six on the year. If Kmet gets over 800 yards and between 6 to 8 TDs then he'll have had a great season in comparison to all the guys that are in the same boat below Travis Kelce.

Maybe do some research on where Kmet fell production wise against the rest of the league.

From what I recall he was trying to run guys over until he started developing a fumbling issue.

The soft shit is probably a direct result of him having trouble with turnovers. He's a pretty physical blocker and was a very physical YAC guy in college too.

Bet me.

Kmet isn't going to get 800 yards. He's too clumsy.

Why do you want to bet against his success? Why do you want to root against him? Do you hate him that much after two years? There seems to be a theme on here. Y'all hate a lot players when they don't do what you want them to.
You're deflecting.

You come on here, talk down to me about Kmet's potential being "hard for me to understand" and brag about your "research" and how I need to do some...

...now you're too scared to bet and want to switch topics to "me rooting against him."

*I'm not rooting against him. I just don't think he can do it. There's a difference.
