When is Ted Leo, he's pretty badass fun....

What's up with the Beat Kitchen? I live around the corner from it and still have never gone it, looks intimidatingly hipster from the outside.

Pritzker show is on Jul 24th. Ted is playing solo at Schuba's on May 5th.

Beat Kitchen is a small stage small venue type of place that also has a resturant/bar area. They get a wide varitey of acts there. Many of the acts are local or regional, they do get some up-in-comer's, and are good for a few former larger acts from days past. I recommend checking it out.

I refuse to believe this phrase is real. Hipster don't intimidate anyone... except their own reflections.

Keith Urban was actually pretty good - the guy is one hell of an entertainer and actually gave the crowd a bit more of a rock show (which I guess what will happen when a "country" artist travels sans steel guitar). Pretty humble guy too - he let his back-up band take the lead more than a couple times.

As for other concerts... I'd love to go see Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt but I can't find anyone to go with. In the fall Joe Bonamassa is coming as well and he'd be awesome to see as well.

Keith is great. I have seen him in concert twice and he is always a crowd pleaser and one of my favorite artists.

Ah good to know. Might try to make that one.

And I agree, Keith Urban puts on a good show. Even for those that may not be (or think they are not) interested in his music. Seeing him live did make be purchase an album or two....then again I am a sucker for muisc or any style.

We have country acts come through out here all the time. You would probably like that. I know your kind of a country gal. I think Taylor Swift even was out here once.

I'm guilty of this as well...

As an FYI - pre-sale for Bonamassa is today if you were really interested in getting tix.

I like all kinds of music. Country is not my favorite, but I do like several country acts.

I know but I know you like several acts that have been here. Elton John was here in April but it sold out really quick. It would have been cool to see.
