The Baby just went into surgery for a hernia about an hour ago. I'll update as I see it.

Thankyou everyone I am spending the night at hospital with my wife tommy is still in operating room were waiting to get some answers and the lucky guy is gonna get circumsizd while being under thks againn sorry about typing I'm on my phone fat fingers and tiny buttons anyway if everything goes well he still won't come home with us kinda bummed about that ill keep in touch and please say some. Prayers fo him qnd my wife

Thats weird, basically every male in my family has a hernia before the age of 5. All my cousins, dad, uncles, etc.. A lot are at birth, I think mine was when I was a week or so old. Its a good thing to get out of the way, even though I obviously have zero recollection.

My son had a hernia within the first 8 months. Had the surgery and the docks used a scope to check out his other side to see if he would be o.k.
Everything should be fine. hope the family can be together soon.

Many CONGRATULATIONS on the new baby!!!
Hope his surgery went smoothly---I'll be sending good thoughts his and your whole family's way. Hopefully this scary part is over and now he's all good to go for you guys.

I did say whole family, there's normal ones. Either way being normal is boring. How else would I have liked the Hawks before they got good?

So as of tonight he is still on the ventilator, they took out his appendix during surgery. The whole problem is his bowel was out side of the umbillical cord not a ordinary hernia so they cut him open took out the appendix pushed what bowel he did develop back in place, hopefully tonight they will excubate that ventilator and get him off of it, that is one of my biggest fears the ventilator i just went thru my dad being on one for almost a year at 75 years old that has been a *****. There going to take out his iv's also and put in a pick line for nourishment and meds he wont be coming home with us thursday, hopefully next week, but it might be longer. Its unknown at this point he hasnt eaten anything since he was born other than thru the iv so once they can start feeding him and he makes a nice poop means things are working and will recover were not out of the woods by a long shot but got to keep praying and hoping for 100% the best ya know. These frigin Drs always scare the hell out of me. He may need another operation at some point and may never be able to play any contact sports at all but it is all unknown and gotta keep positive. and everyone on here thankyou so much for the thoughts it really shocked me to come on and see you guys caring the Wife and I and Thomas John Jr really appreciate it THANKYOU ALL.

Your family and the little guy are in my thoughts. Just know that babies are tough and there bodies can handle a lot.
