Sorry to hear the little guy is having such a rough start. He's a Blackhawk fan and we are fighters. I'm sure the prayers and support of everyone will give him the strength to get through this like a champ.

Uptown baby!
Awww, poor little guy. Not even 48 hours old and he's already going through all this. If it offers any consolation, he's an amazing trooper! Continued best wishes to your whole family for a smooth recovery for him so you guys can get him home soon.

Don't worry. I had to go through much worse than that and that was 20 years ago, I bet medical technology has improved by leaps and bounds since I was a newborn. Little Tommy will be fine, but good luck regardless!

Yea, I hear the southside has been quite the somber place as of late. A 22 year old also died by Monroe park coming home from Western. Glad you got your good news.

Congratulations Tommy! Hope all goes well.

When I was born I ate my own poop before I came out, apparently it took forever to get my big ass out of there... I mean sheesh, I was probably bored and hungry, so why not eat some poop?

Sounds funny, I know it makes me laugh too, but I was in critical condition. They told my parents I wasn't going to make it. They had tubes down my throat and I was relying on it a good amount, something like 90% of my air was coming from the machine. Obviously, I am alive today to tell the story but it took a miracle for me to stay alive, the Doc's all thought I was a goner, very slim chance at life. I still have scars under my armpits from all the tubes and crap that they put in my body.

My thoughts are with you, Thomas Jr, and your family. Hope for a speedy recovery and a long, prosperous life!

I am soooo calling you poop eater from now on.

I wasn't a newborn, but I almost died as a baby as well. I was maybe a few months old, and something in my body just went wrong. I was in the hospital and getting worse. The doctors actually told my parents to make final arrangements. Said I wouldn't make it through the night.

But, too bad for you ******* I did.

Very cool! I'm glad he's doing better.

Now, when he's still a toddler, you had better get him a trash pail with Bobby Hull (or any other 'hawk) on it.

Good stuff Tommy! I can only imagine the stress of having a newborn undergo any kind of operation. Glad to hear Tommy Jr might be coming home soon and all is well!

Hope he recovers quickly and can start skating soon! :D
