Kadeem Carey never looked like a starting RB in the NFL...

Those guys, unless they are special teams mavens or great in other areas (catching the ball, etc.) are a dime a dozen.

As for Connor Shaw, I never saw him as a back up QB....

The multi yr rebuild continues and the roster is upgrading little by little.

Aside from his short period of success in the pre-season last year, Shaw didn't really look to me like he was worth developing. I liked how Carey ran, but like Novak said, there are just too many talented players at RB on the roster. It's a good problem to have.

Shaw had no chance with the veteran presence of Sanchez. I get that Sanchez has been a joke for the last 5 years, but Shaw was kind of a never-was. 3rd string fighter on his best day. probably could've been something though. RBs were a blemish a couple years ago; it's amazing the Bears have that position locked now.
