Totally agree that there are road construction projects that are forced and unnecessary. Not sure if it's buying votes or feeling the need to spend federal money that's available for road construction but whatever the reason, I'm convinced that some projects are BSThey are fixing roads around me that have no apparent problem. Just buying union votes I assume.
They've closed and "repaired" a lane in a stretch of Algonquin road twice now. It's less than a year old and nothing was wrong with it. Other spots with perfectly fine curbs that just HAD to be replaced for some reason. Of course, that takes two months...
Chicago has two seasons Winter and construction. Seems like Jim has a major problem with both. I'd recommend living in a different city.
it's summer time generally road construction and repairs peak season so yeah...they will be working
People keep saying winter and construction. Can you explain to me then why they tore up our whole block to do water pipe work in sub zero weather in february? I'm convinced they pull this shit and do subpar work to guarantee having to come back to fix it and get paid for it
I had a job in a city. I didn't like the job or the city. So i found another job in another city.
