You would think that he would be approaching the car as a trauma scene.

Just because you're drunk, doesn't mean you don't have places to be. Sometimes you still gotta drive and risk it for the biscuit.

The guy is dead anyways, so not even sure why you're this upset..
Guy lived. Paralyzed tho

Then why the hell is everyone so upset? He can still get crunk while paralyzed, someone just has to hold the bottle to his lips.

He's (Thomas) probably going to jail for intoxication manslaughter once he recovers from the GSW (or as much as he can).

Methinks they exclusively didn't charge the officer so they didn't open themselves up to a civil suit.

Yeah, paranoid and on edge with your weapon drawn and safety off. What more do you expect?

It was the drivers fault.
He was obviously crawling out of the window in a threatening manner, and it looks like he was prepared to kung-fu flip on to the officer.

I hope someone in office eventually steps up and proposes making body cameras mandantory across the board for all police. the saturation of cameras at the publics fingertips has really highlighted the staggering amount of unjustified homicides by cops, but that isnt enough. All cops need body cameras, and it should be an obstructing justice charge for turning them off.

This incident was caught on camera and the cop still got off. More cameras won't do shit as long as the judges keep aquitting the murderers officers.

Wasn't a judge. It was a DA. And the dude is going to clean out the city coffers when the jury gets a look at the video during the civil suit.

Yea, the guy might get a nice settlement, but he'll still spend the rest of his life in a wheelchair. Meanwhile the cop will get off scot-free and never be held responsible for the attempted murder.
