I know its months until opening day, but the Sox forum hasn't been all that active in a while, but Konerko has 396 career home runs. So, obviously, he only needs four more until 400. Dunn only needs 35 (currently at 365). Hopefully both will get there this season.

Not sure about Dunn, if he hits 35 it's a step to at least a 81 win season I would think.

Now what is it going to take for Konerko to be a Hall of Famer?

Paulie the only guy in the lineup worth watching.

I don't know that Dunn will hit 30 this year. I suspect that he hits 20-25, and the new hitting coach helps him tweak his swing so that he can more easily/quickly get the bat on the ball. He'll still strike out (it's his m.o.) but I think he'll get a lot more base hits and doubles out of the deal.

If Dunn gets 35 homers, the White Sox should win the division.

gonna need alot more than that to win the Central.

Starting staff without Burls is suspect, plus the bullpen has issues.

Lineup outside Paulie has no consistency.

Way too many question marks on this team.

Lots of question marks, no doubt, but you also have to think, as stated by Sox1970 on Palehosed:

De Aza is probably better than Pierre.
Morel looked great in September...maybe he does that for a whole season.
Peavy is year out from his surgery, and he's going into a contract year.
Addison Reed may be this year's Craig Kimbrel...not joking.
Beckham may succeed with a new hitting coach.
Dunn can't be any worse, and again, new coaching staff.
Sale may pitch like an ace of the future.

Not saying they win the division, but if they keep a lot of the team in tact, if they somehow won the division I wouldn't be completely surprised.

that is a tough call.

IMHO, I would want Sale back in the pen and pick up or trade for another starter.

Im fine with de aza and viciedo if CQ is dealt.

beckham needs to be better

konerko needs to be konerko

umm...who is closing

im way too tired to look at the other teams in the division, but im sure they all have some nasty holes as well. So I guess its not out of the question. im just not going to hold my breath.

I agree %100 with you on Sale, Dewey.

Indians are a pretty good team and my pick to win the division, Detroit had a lot go for them last season (not a knock on them btw), Royals are getting better, who the fuck knows whats going on with the Twins.

Again, I don't think they win the division, but if they did win it I wouldn't be surprised.

They Chicago White Sox aren't the Chicago Cubs. The Chicago White Sox are underachievers. The Chicago Cubs simply suck.

I know some people are looking at his under .500 record but the man has had some of the worst run support in MLB.
