I disagree. If they convert they would have still been in there own end with no timeouts and 24 seconds to go. Chance to gain 15 -20 yards and get a FG where slim. Instead you give up the ball at your 43 the team only needing 5-10 yards and 1 TO. And in no way is a tie as bad as a loss. 10-5-1 beats 10-6 every day.
