Watching a program on the Coy Wolf and they say there are a bunch living around Chicago and most people are unaware of them. Have any of you who live there ever see one? Interesting stuff.

They've been around a long time in the burbs. Quite a few people have lost their toy dogs in the back yard.

They're great scavengers. Outside of the city they run in packs. You can hear them at night in a lot of areas where there are woods. Adaptable animals, for sure.

Creepy sounding aren't they? My Dad has a ton of them running around on his 110 acre farm in Upstate NY, I'd never have expected them to roam major cities as well. Guess I underestimated their adaptability.

Is that even possible? My stepbrother found a Coyote pup in a hollow log and brought it home and raised it. She was a great dog but couldn't resist eating the ducks and chickens.

Little shit sure had a gourmet taste, didn't he.

I used to live on Magnolia in Uptown just north of Larewnce. It was right behind the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery. There's a lot of coyotes in the cemetery.

Most people were unaware of them until the fence around the cemetery was swapped out last year. They went from a solid brick fence to one made out of metal posts. Now, it's pretty normal to see them roaming around out there.

Found a picture of a coyote in St. Boniface cemetery.

I've also seen a lot rabbits in Wrigleyville and Uptown. Supposedly, there are a lot of deer and raccoons around, but I've never seen them.
