Coyotes in abundance in Chicago

That's pretty cool. They say that Coyotes are very smart and are "figuring us out." I guess as many as 2,000 are roaming around the city.

A couple of my old homies from the Englewood area have been trying to mate them with Pit Bulls.

They're great scavengers. Outside of the city they run in packs. You can hear them at night in a lot of areas where there are woods. Adaptable animals, for sure.

Creepy sounding aren't they? My Dad has a ton of them running around on his 110 acre farm in Upstate NY, I'd never have expected them to roam major cities as well. Guess I underestimated their adaptability.

I used to live on Magnolia in Uptown just north of Larewnce. It was right behind the St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery. There's a lot of coyotes in the cemetery.

Most people were unaware of them until the fence around the cemetery was swapped out last year. They went from a solid brick fence to one made out of metal posts. Now, it's pretty normal to see them roaming around out there.

Found a picture of a coyote in St. Boniface cemetery.

I've also seen a lot rabbits in Wrigleyville and Uptown. Supposedly, there are a lot of deer and raccoons around, but I've never seen them.
