The Chicago Blackhawks recalled goaltender Alexander Salak from the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs, leading to speculation that Corey Crawford's groin injury is more serious than first believed.
Crawford, who started the Blackhawks' first two games against the Dallas Stars, sat for both Monday and Tuesday practices. Coach Joel Quenneville consistently said Crawford was merely listing and that he should be fine for Thursday's home game against the Winnipeg Jets.
However, with practice at the United Center set to begin at 11 a.m., the Salak move means Crawford might be out.
With as volatile as Emery has been, it could be anything. haha
