To me, if the sox lose all 6 I could give a **** as long as they contend. I look at it as an overrated series. 2 different leagues, the only time id care is if it was the WS

Pre 2005 the series kinda felt like it was something big but atleast for me as a sox fan, after 2005 its lost its flavor.

I look forward to STL and MIL series more then CHW series but on years like this for Cubs it is a fun thing to watch

I want to win, mainly cause it helps the Sox in the standings, every win obviously helps but living in the Chicago land area most of my friends are Cubs fans so thats always a plus when the Sox win.

I voted "Everything" although that's a bit of a stretch.

The White Sox are the rival team I hate the most and I would love to beat them. Even with a mediocre season, i'd feel that way. But this season, we're so far out of it that it doesn't mean as much to me.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago White Sox
  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Toledo Rockets
First couple years as a fan it was kinda cool. But now its just meh, we haven't played the Mets in IL since 2003, I'd rather play in Citi Field on the road than go to Wrigley.

Haven't played Philly or Houston since 2007. San Diego since 2005...

It isn't the same as another series because it is my favorite team against my second favorite team, so I'm not as mad if we lose as I'd normally be (so basically, not at all, this season anyway).

The Cubs-Sox rivalry is the most idiotic thing in sports, except for promotion and relegation in European sports leagues.

Soccer is the stupidest thing in all of sports.

I don't hate the Sox either, I just like giving them crap :smug2:

False.

And that title most certainly goes to the WNBA or Curling.

I like the series as it features two Chicago teams, but the level of stupidity it brings out by both groups of fans is awful. The Sox face the Cubs six times a year. During those six meetings, I'm 100% for the Sox of course, but the rest of the year I wish the Cubs well. They're a Chicago team and I love this city.

Its lame and always was. It was a short-sighted way to generate fan interest after the work stoppage of 1994. Now, years later, it's lost steam, meanwhile, baseball is becoming less and less relevant.
