Dempster has looked real shaky all night. I know they will get another inning out of him, but still think that perhaps you take him down in that spot in the fifth.

I think you do it if you have a good bullpen. The Cubs do not have a good bullpen.

As a whole the bullpen has not been bad. It is really just the backend from the start of the season that has really struggled. I think you could get four innings out of the bullpen.

That and the whole connection with Jerry Narron (pretty sure that was the guy the Reds had at the time) was a big part of Hamilton's emergence at the big league level. The Cubs didn't have that guy to make Hamilton comfortable the way the Reds did.

Made sense for the Reds since they had so much offense and needed the pitching. They just picked the wrong pitcher from the Rangers.

Bleacherbum said it before he got here, and what I saw in Iowa suggests he can be steady at 2B. It is the other infield spots that I am not so sure about.
