Brenly will say at some point today that Shark should just bat for himself.

How did Shark give up the 2 runs. I just turned it on and apparently I forgot to set the dvr.

Johnson's knee got bent in a weird way on that foul ball. Hopefully he is okay.

Shark doesn't have it today apparently. A couple of hits on pretty good pitches and a bloop single, but simply not a good outing.

I don't think Samardzija is tradeable for what you'd want to get in return at the moment. I.e., whoever they get back won't be as effective as he is currently. Which isn't saying much as he fluctuates between being awesome and being what you expect based on past performance.

Why is this such a hard concept for some? Shark and LaHair aren't going to net a ton in a trade because other GM's, like us, know they are question marks. The Cubs need guys with upside and Shark perhaps has the most of any player on the current roster. That doesn't mean they are the greatest players of all time. It means that what other teams are going to give up isn't worth their potential upside.

He's giving up line drives, you can only blame BABIP so much
He wasn't good today, but there have been a lot of bloop and infield hits as well there to make this a disaster start.
