Castro 1st AB since being benched. 1st pitch Single. Thats what i want to see. Castro needs to be aggressive. I know he dont fit Theo patient plan but teams would love to have .300 15 HR hitting SS yearly. Let the kid hit

I am not watching the game right now. Did he hit it with authority or was it a bloop single. Seeing him square up a fastball would go a long way to assuage my fears right now.

It was a tweener. He took a big swing. Kind of hit it off the end of the bat. Wasnt hit extremely hard, but wasnt a flare. I thought it was going to stay up but it just dropped

I am so for the Cubs getting a third baseman and letting Valbuena play second. He gives a deep at bat almost everytime.

Meh then. I want to see him turn on pitches that are in his wheel house while continuing to try to lay off stuff way outside. Hopefully a few "luckier" hits will get his confidence going to start to do that.
