I just remember when everyone said that Dempster's last extending the scoreless streak was his last start until he snub a deal to a legitimate playoff contender. I would love the Cubs to reap a Mark Texieria type deal now for Garza, I am just doubtful the market bears that out. We will see, and unfortunately that is the best storyline we all have to hope for.

I'm in the "trade Garza" camp -- but he's making it difficult to stick to that.

All depends how fast FO plan on winning. If they plan on adding some pieces this offseason to lineup then i say extend but if they plan on waiting for kids which would but winning 2016+ then i say trade

Just from watching Garza, I just don't think he's going to be worth his next contract...that's the reason I say trade...his value is high, and I don't think he's a core piece moving forward...but like I said, he's making it difficult to stick to that.
