Too bad wrig from CBS isn't hear to ramble on and on about how much he likes Sappelt and what great effort he showed diving for the ball and then praising Sveum for a quality managing job in the 13th.
I was only catching the coverage on MLB network, but did anyone even go out to the mound to talk to Bowden while he was imploding?? God forbid you have someone warming up or anything with a 2 run lead heading into the bottom of the 13th.

I don't believe so. I had my head in my hands most of the inning though so he may have, but I don't recall anything. I am just frustrated as to why Sappelt was in the game. I understand he was trying to be a hero and make a great play but you have to know the situation and his bat is a significant downgrade from Schierholtz.

He might have to. Only guys that are probably available tonight are Loe, Gregg, Rondon and Camp given that the other three guys went multiple innings and around 30 pitches each.

Russell went 1.1 innings, but he did only throw 18 pitches. So yeah he probably could go again today.

Well liking Ransom right now. If they could replace Sappelt in CF with a RH bat that hits over .200 it would be an improvement. Well at least 1 of the 3 platoons worked for a game.

Sappelt had to go 2 hours after the Marshall trade. He is utter shit, and Dale is a bigger Special person for benching Nate; his hottest hitter for righty lefty matchups. Especially last night.
I think Rizzo should be out of the 3 hole for now. Kid is trying to do too much.....
