How is it blowing smoke -- he was honest with the answer. I was at the management Q&A and they were candid with all of their answers. Theo discussed baseball factors (position fit, service time, needing to go through spring training). I'm not worried about holding him in AAA for two weeks to gain an extra year of salary control.

Scrub fans are like the "popular" kids in high school that never matured. They think being seen as cool and having lots of friends is more important than being smart since intelligence means you're a nerd or dork and actually being good at something doesn't matter to them. In their minds One Direction, N Sync, and Kary Perry are better than Iron Maiden, Anthrax, and Lamb of god because the former type of music gets more media coverage and sells more records.
