Cubs fans hating on Joe Buck - you?

His recent crush on the Kershaw is not my biggest issue. He's been crushing over Farve for years, Aaron Rodgers ever since. Giving credit is fine, but he's consistently over the top and ridiculously repetitive in doing so, which really sucks for the opposition on top of being beaten already.

Cubs play-by-play has always been fairly neutral and at least they don't go on & on & on & on & on at every commercial break, return, and in-game. That said, this is just a silly article of course. Curious your thoughts.

He is the most boring announcer in history.

The weird fucking part is he is actually a funny and entertaining guy out of that context. Why the **** does he subject us to this monotone flat repetitive dribble night after night? He is the fucking worst.

His voice has become like fucking chalkboard to me, I just want him to say one damn meaningful thing. At least his dad had fucking color in the color analyst by the end of his nightly binge.

Entertainment is just one of those areas where you shouldn't allow legacy to interfere with selection. Joe Buck is case in point. He actually and really fucking sucks at his job hardcore, and I think gets all that hate because its a very fortuitous job to have.

It's rare to have completely unbiased announcers and commentators. And when one of them grew up as a fan of your rival team, it's even worse.

You get rid of Joe Buck, and someone else with their set of problems replace him. Some are better, some are worse. That's why it's nice to dualcast games if you can. Put the game on the TV, mute the game, and put the homecall radio on. I'm not sure if the Cubs have homecall radio coverage going on this postseason, but if so, there's your option. Plus if you need to leave the TV to grab some snacks, it's easier to follow the radio call from another room.

Cubs station is 670 WSCR, and they don't sync up the broadcast like WGN used to for the playoffs. It's a decent size time gap too.

Pat and Ron are still broadcasting the post-season games. Listened to part of Game 4 while traveling. The radio and TV don't quite line up, so it is a bit awkward to watch that way according to a few friends I've suggested this very thing to.

Keep in mind that for years fans on both sides have complained that the same announcers are biased against their team.

LA fans think he's biased towards the Cubs right now.

We hear him praise LAa few times and it bugs us. But we dont register the praise for the Cubs, which is bugging Dodger fans.

Put me down as anti-Buck and pro-Arod. I've always disliked Pete Rose and expected him to be completely horrible. Since he's only been a little bit horrible I feel like I got off easy.

BTW A-Rod was one of the only voices saying don't bench Russell before game four.

Can't stand Buck he rates up there with McCarver on my all time hate list. Why can't Bob Costas do our games. When I hear Bob it brings me back to my youth when NBC would have Saturday and playoff baseball. He is the best in my book. He did one of our games against the Giants and I was giddy.

The amount of time he spent on Lester's throwing issues was egregious, especially when it became clear that it had no effect on the game whatsoever. Just awful announcing. Wish we could have Vasgersian again.
